Ms. Wong is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with a remarkable track record and multi-faceted experience. In 2022, Ms. Wong co-founded AMEC Partners Pte. Ltd., a private equity firm in Singapore, focusing on energy and transition technology sectors with a Pan Pacific strategy. Passionate about driving social and environmental impact while ensuring economic success, she leverages technology innovation and market advantages to achieve her goals. Ms. Wong assembled a world-class management team with global experience and stellar reputation to lead the fund management for AMEC Partners.
Prior to her role at AMEC Partners, Ms. Wong accumulated over 25 years of business operation and investment experience. In 1998, she founded AGI Avant Group (formerly AGI Capital Group, Inc.) in San Francisco, transforming it into a versatile real estate development powerhouse overseeing more than USD $2 billion in development projects in California. AGI’s partnership with CalPERS in 2006 solidified its position as an investment leader, generating exemplary returns through multiple full-cycle capital rounds. As Chairperson of AGI Avant Group, Ms. Wong directs capital raising efforts and sets corporate strategy with a top-notch management team.
Throughout her career, Ms. Wong has spearheaded investments and startup ventures across real estate, technology, and sustainability sectors. Notable ventures include Prometheus Partners, a successful corporate advisory merchant banking company where she facilitated numerous cross-border expansion and M&A initiatives between China and the US, including high-profile projects such as Huawei’s bid for a USD $5 billion cellular network contract with Sprint, China Ministry of Railway’s California high speed rail initiative, CRCC/China Development Bank’s USD $1 billion infrastructure financing in the US, and China Light & Electric’s acquisition of gas assets in North America.
In addition, she founded MobiJuce Limited, pioneering the first share economy IoT platform in Hong Kong, Blinq, a user based O2O marketing platform operating in major Chinese cities. Ms. Wong also served as Director to Caidao Capital Limited, a multi-faceted advisory and investment management company specializing in corporate finance, wealth management and real estate investment with coverage in U.S., Germany, and Asia Pacific.
Ms. Wong’s expertise extends beyond business ventures. She has served on prominent state boards and commissions in California, including the California Real Estate Advisory Board and the Asian Pacific Islander Affairs Commission. Her contributions have earned her recognition, including being named one of the “Top 100 Most Influential Women in Business” by the San Francisco Business Times and one of the “Top 50 Asian Americans in Business in the U.S.” by the Asian Economic Development Center in New York.
Ms. Wong holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and an MBA in International Management, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Golden Gate University.
